Change log

This page records every version of the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service, what changed in each, and when it took effect. It exists so you can check our history rather than take our word for it.

How we notify you of changes. For a material change — a new purpose, a new category of data, a new recipient, a change in how long we keep something, or a term that reduces your rights — we notify you in the app before it takes effect, and give you a reasonable period to review it. Where consent is required we ask for it again. For clarifications and corrections we update the document, revise its date, and record it here.

We will never apply a materially reduced standard of protection to data we already hold, or a material change retrospectively to something that has already happened, without asking you first.

Privacy Policy — version 1.0

Initial publication. There is no earlier version, so nothing here supersedes anything. This version establishes:

  • The complete list of data we collect, field by field rather than by category, and an explicit list of what we deliberately do not collect — no advertising identifiers, no location tracking, no cross-app tracking, and no stored copy of your address book.
  • Full disclosure of the AI agent (§5): that it reads your conversations, that it can send messages in your name, that it cannot see the contents of images or send media, that it makes mistakes, and that you are responsible for what it does for you.
  • What other people can see about you (§3.6) — your photo, online status, last seen, read receipts and new-phone notices — and what blocking hides.
  • Calls (§9): end-to-end encrypted, never recorded, always routed through our own call server in India, and exactly what we keep about each call.
  • Voice dictation (§10): which speech providers hear your voice, that we keep no audio and no transcript, and how long each provider keeps it.
  • Every third party that receives your data (Annex A) — what each one gets, whether it trains on your content, and how long it keeps it. This includes disclosing that our AI provider deletes what we send within 30 days, and may keep content flagged for a usage-policy violation for up to two years.
  • The retention schedule (Annex B).
  • What account deletion destroys and what survives (§15) — including the parts that survive, such as the messages you sent to other people with your identity severed. Stated rather than omitted.
  • Your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and how to exercise them.
  • A published grievance timetable: acknowledgement within 24 hours, resolution within 15 days.

Terms of Service — version 1.0

Initial publication. The agreement between you and Jigi. The parts worth knowing:

  • What Jigi is (§5) — messaging, calls that connect only Jigi users and cannot reach emergency services, voice dictation, and the agent.
  • The AI agent acts as you (§7). Messages it sends are your messages — sent from your account, in your name, and treated as authored by you. Instructions and permissions you give it are yours.
  • A plain statement that the agent makes mistakes (§6), with the specific ways it can fail listed rather than summarised, and a clear instruction not to rely on it for medical, legal, financial or safety-critical matters.
  • The controls you have and your duty to use them (§6.3) — approval before acting, standing approvals, replies approved in advance, scheduled actions, per-person stops, the full audit trail, and a switch that stops the agent completely.
  • Acceptable use (§8), including an explicit prohibition on using the agent to send bulk or unsolicited messages.
  • You keep ownership of your content (§9); the licence you give us exists only to run the service and ends when the content is deleted.
  • No warranties, and limits on our liability (§13, §14) — together with an explicit list of the liabilities we do not exclude, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, gross negligence, our data protection obligations, and any consumer right that cannot be contracted away.
  • The same grievance timetable as the Privacy Policy: 24 hours to acknowledge, 15 days to resolve.
